A bright light in a dark world

What We Believe

“What we believe the Bible teaches”
The Bible:
We believe the Scriptures in the Old and New Testament are the verbally inspired word of God and are inerrant in its original writings. They are without any error.
We believe God is eternal and is represented in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God created the world and everything that exists. Genesis 1 – 11
The fall of man:
Adam, the first man that was created disobeyed and sinned against God. Because of this willful act of disobedience, sin came to the human race. Genesis 3
The deity of Jesus Christ:
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God that was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life and died on the cross for the sin of the world.
The only way of salvation:
When individuals reach the age of accountability (where they recognize right from wrong) they become morally responsible to God for themselves.
The Bible teaches that the only way to be saved is by believing upon the Lord Jesus Christ who died for the sins of the world: John 3:3 – 18; John 14:6; Romans 3:23; 6:23; 10:9-10
Heaven and hell:
We believe that both are literal places as taught in the Bible. Those who accepted Jesus into their lives will live forever in heaven with God and all the redeemed of all the ages. Those that didn’t accept Jesus are eternally separated from God into the place of punishment.
Church membership:
When individuals have received Jesus Christ into their lives, repented of their sins and then follow the Lord in the believer’s baptism (by water immersion) they may unite with our church in membership.
Evangelism and missions:
Yadkin Baptist Church is a member of The Southern Baptist Convention; The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and the South Yadkin Baptist Association.
Through these associations we support over 5,500 foreign missionaries; over 5,000 home missionaries and local mission work. Our goal is to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world that people may hear the truth and receive Jesus into their lives.
Return of Jesus Christ:
We believe the Bible teaches the next great event of the Scripture is the return of Jesus Christ for His church. I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 4.
